Day 9

Derwentwater Lake cruise and walk
A lover-ly day beginning with a launch (boat) ride across Derwentwater Lake, then a stroll back to town. I greatly enjoyed the walk. The scenery was always shifting, and there were pleasant little surprises scattered along the way. Back in Keswick, I spent the afternoon doing laundry. I timed it so I got to see some bicyclists on the Tour of Britain pass through, right in front of the laundromat. In the evening, I encountered a gorgeous sunset on the way to watch a play at the Theatre by the Lake. I could really get used to a life like this!
